TV Channel Overview
Echorouk Group (مجمع الشروق للإعلام والنشر) is an Algerian media organization based in Kouba, Algiers Province, Algeria.
Its activities span television, newspaper publishing, and digital news,
with Arabic serving as the principal language of its current television
services. The group’s media coverage is centered on Algeria while also
addressing regional and international developments.
Echorouk TV (الشروق تي في) is the group’s general-interest channel, combining news and talk programs
with drama, entertainment, and other programs for a broad audience. Echorouk
News (الشروق نيوز) is devoted to news and current affairs, covering political, economic,
social, and cultural developments in Algeria as well as events beyond the
country.
The organization developed from print publishing into digital and television media. Echorouk El Yawmi was established in 2000, and Echorouk Online followed in 2005 as a news website publishing in Arabic, English, and French. The group later expanded into television with Echorouk TV, which began experimental broadcasting in 2011 and official broadcasting in 2012. Echorouk News was launched in 2014 as a dedicated news service. This progression from a daily newspaper to online publishing and separate general-interest and news television channels reflects the group’s expansion across several forms of Algerian media.
