Terms of Use for Squid TV
1. Acceptance of These Terms
By accessing or using Squid TV (including squidtv.net and any related subdomains, pages, or services, collectively referred to as the “Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the Site.
2. Description of the Service
Squid TV is an online directory that provides links to official websites, livestreams, and publicly available embeds offered by television broadcasters and related media providers around the world. The Site itself does not host, store, or retransmit any video content. All video content is provided by third-party broadcasters or platforms.
3. Eligibility and Intended Use
The Site is intended for personal, non-commercial use by individuals who wish to discover and access television channels via official sources. You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Site complies with all applicable laws and regulations in your country or region.
4. External Links and Third-Party Content
The Site contains links to third-party websites, livestreams, and platforms that are not operated or controlled by Squid TV. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for:
- the content, policies, or practices of any third-party site or service; or
- any changes, interruptions, or discontinuation of third-party streams.
Your use of third-party sites and services is at your own risk and subject to their own terms and policies.
5. No Hosting of Video Content
Squid TV does not upload, mirror, archive, or otherwise host any audio-visual content. All streams and videos accessible through the Site are provided directly by broadcasters or third-party platforms. If a broadcaster removes or restricts access to a stream, it may become unavailable via the Site as well.
6. Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the design, structure, and compilation of the Site (including text, layout, and categorization) are the property of Squid TV or its operator and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
All logos, trademarks, video content, and channel names that appear on or are linked from the Site remain the property of their respective owners. Their appearance on the Site does not imply any endorsement, sponsorship, or formal affiliation, unless explicitly stated.
7. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use the Site:
- for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation;
- to scrape, copy, or systematically harvest data from the Site by automated means (including bots, crawlers, or similar technologies), except for normal search engine indexing;
- to attempt to circumvent technical measures that protect the Site or third-party streams;
- to frame the Site or present it in a way that could mislead users about its source or ownership;
- in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Site or interfere with others’ use of the Site.
8. No Warranty
The Site and all information provided on it are offered on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without any warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. Squid TV does not guarantee:
- that any particular channel or stream will be available at any time;
- the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the information listed on the Site;
- the quality, reliability, or legality of any third-party streams or content.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Squid TV and its operator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site or any third-party content accessed through it, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
10. Changes to the Service and to These Terms
We may update, modify, or discontinue any part of the Site at any time without prior notice. We may also revise these Terms from time to time. The most current version will be posted on the Site with the “Last updated” date. By continuing to use the Site after changes are posted, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms.
11. Links to Squid TV
You may link to the Site in a fair and non-misleading manner, provided that:
- the link does not suggest any sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation that does not exist; and
- the Site is not framed or presented in a way that alters its appearance or misrepresents its content.
We reserve the right to request the removal of any link that we consider inappropriate or misleading.
12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Japan, unless otherwise required by the mandatory laws of your place of residence. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of the Site shall be subject to the exclusive or non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Japan, as permitted by applicable law.
