TV Channel Overview
Ennahar TV (قناة النهار) is an Algerian news television channel headquartered in Saïd Hamdine,
Bir Mourad Raïs, Algiers Province, Algeria. Its coverage is centered on
Algerian national affairs, and Arabic is the principal broadcast language.
The channel also reports on international developments within a broader
news agenda.
The schedule is built around news and current affairs, with attention to politics, public affairs, local events, social issues, sports, and selected cultural topics. News bulletins and field reports form the core of this coverage, complemented by interviews and studio discussions that address both nationwide developments and stories from different parts of Algeria.
Ennahar TV began experimental broadcasting in 2012. It was launched during a period when several privately operated Algerian television channels were entering the country’s media landscape, expanding the range of domestic television services beyond the long-established state broadcaster. From its base in Algiers, the channel developed as a news-oriented service with continuing emphasis on Algerian events and public affairs.
