TV Channel Overview
Eden TV (Eden Télévision), formerly known as Benin Eden TV, is a private
Beninese television channel based in Glo-Djigbé, Abomey-Calavi, Atlantique
Department, Benin. It serves audiences in Benin with programming in French
and local languages, combining news and public affairs with educational,
cultural, and other general-interest content.
News programs, television journals, magazines, documentaries, interviews, and discussion formats form a substantial part of the schedule. Development and social issues receive regular attention, including health, nutrition, education, the environment, women’s empowerment, and legal topics. Cultural reporting and programs dealing with everyday community concerns broaden the channel’s output beyond politics and daily news.
The project behind Eden TV and its associated radio service, Diaspora FM, began in 2013 when Petrolin Group applied to Benin’s audiovisual regulator for television and radio licenses. The two media outlets were created in 2014. Eden TV is also included among the private local channels in Benin’s digital terrestrial television system.
