TV Channel Overview
NCI (Nouvelle Chaîne Ivoirienne) is a private general-interest television
channel based in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire. Launched in December 2019, it
broadcasts free-to-air in Côte d’Ivoire through the country’s digital terrestrial
television network and is also distributed to viewers elsewhere in Africa
through television packages.
The channel brings together news and current affairs, talk and discussion programs, entertainment, films and series, documentaries, reports, music, and sports. Its schedule includes both locally produced material and other programming, giving space to Ivorian public life, culture, personalities, events, and everyday subjects alongside broader entertainment content.
NCI emerged during the expansion of private digital television in Côte d’Ivoire and operates as a commercial general-interest service rather than a single-theme channel. News, debate, factual programming, and entertainment therefore share the schedule, allowing the channel to address a broad audience while retaining a strong focus on subjects and perspectives connected with Côte d’Ivoire.
