TV Channel Overview
Sada El Balad (صدى البلد) is a private Arabic-language satellite television network based in 6th
of October City, Giza Governorate, Egypt. Launched in 2011, it is operated
by Cleopatra Media, the media arm of Cleopatra Group. The network serves
a national audience and combines news and public-affairs coverage with
general-interest programming.
News remains a central part of Sada El Balad’s output, covering Egyptian affairs as well as Arab and international developments. Its broader schedule includes talk and information programs, economic and social topics, sports, health, religion, cooking, entertainment, and drama. The channel’s website also reflects this range through sections devoted to news, politics and parliament, business, sports, arts, health, education, and other subjects.
Sada El Balad forms part of a wider channel network. In addition to the main Sada El Balad channel, the broadcaster has operated Sada El Balad 2 and Sada El Balad Drama, which provide additional general and drama-oriented programming. This structure gives the network a mix of news, information, discussion, entertainment, and scripted content within Egypt’s privately owned satellite television sector.
