TV Channel Overview
Medi1 TV (ميدي 1 تي في) is a Moroccan news television network headquartered in Tangier, Tanger-Tetouan-Al
Hoceima Region. Established in 2006, it began as a bilingual Arabic- and
French-language continuous news channel focused on the Maghreb. Its editorial
scope has since expanded beyond a single service into a multilingual news
network.
The network currently comprises Medi1TV Maghreb, Medi1TV Arabic, and Medi1TV Afrique, giving its output distinct regional and linguistic orientations. News remains at the center of the schedule, accompanied by current affairs, political and economic discussion, reports, interviews, culture, society, and sports. Arabic and French remain central to the network’s output, while the Arabic service is directed specifically toward Arabic-speaking audiences.
Medi1 TV’s coverage connects Moroccan affairs with developments elsewhere in the Maghreb, Africa, the Middle East, and the wider international sphere. Following its acquisition by Société Nationale de Radiodiffusion et de Télévision (SNRT), Medi1 TV forms part of Morocco’s public audiovisual sector while retaining its Tangier base and its three-channel news structure.
