Overview
Tanzania Broadcasting Corporation (TBC) is the state-owned public service
broadcaster operated by the Government of Tanzania. It operates three television
channels — TBC 1, TBC 2, and Tanzania Safari Channel — and is headquartered
in Dar es Salaam.
TBC1 is the national free-to-air flagship channel carrying news, current affairs and general programming for nationwide audiences.
TBC2 serves as the corporation’s complementary/commercial outlet, featuring entertainment, youth-oriented shows, sports and specialized programs that broaden TBC’s public-service offering.
Tanzania Safari Channel is a 24-hour tourism and wildlife channel created under TBC to showcase national parks, cultural sites and travel experiences.
