At the national level, Télévision Togolaise (TVT) provides Togo’s state television service, while private broadcasters have developed different approaches to general and thematic programming. French is the main language used by the broadcasters represented on Squid TV. New World TV, based in Lomé, operates a multi-channel network combining general and specialized services, whereas Espoir 47 follows a general-interest format focused on news discussion, social topics, and entertainment.
Squid TV presents these broadcasters through information on their location, language, programming focus, background, and geographic reach. Comparing their roles and structures helps show how television services based in Togo differ in both content and audience scope. Some are primarily oriented toward domestic viewers, while New World TV also extends its activities beyond the country, adding a wider regional dimension to the television services represented.
