TV Channel Overview

ZNS TV is the national public television service of the Broadcasting Corporation of The Bahamas (BCB), based in Nassau, New Providence, The Bahamas. Operated by the state-owned broadcaster, the channel serves audiences across the country with national news, public affairs, cultural coverage, and other locally produced programming.

Its television output follows government and politics, education, crime and public safety, social issues, national events, and developments in New Providence, Grand Bahama, and the Family Islands. Cultural programming also reflects Bahamian traditions and community life, including major national celebrations and festivals. The service forms the television component of a wider ZNS network that also operates national radio services.

ZNS began as a government radio service in 1936, while the Broadcasting Corporation of The Bahamas was established in 1972. Television broadcasting was introduced in 1977 with ZNS-TV 13, giving the corporation a national television service alongside its radio operations. ZNS TV has since remained part of the country's public broadcasting system.
