TV Channel Overview
CityNews 24/7 is a Canadian 24-hour news channel operated by Rogers Sports
& Media. Launched in 2022, the service is part of the broader CityNews
news organization and presents continuously updated coverage with a strong
emphasis on local and regional reporting.
The channel follows breaking news, politics, public affairs, weather, traffic, business, and other developments affecting communities in Canada. Its regionalized structure draws on CityNews reporting from markets including Toronto, Calgary, and Vancouver, while national and international stories are also incorporated into the schedule. Regional feeds identified within the service include CityNews 24/7 East, CityNews 24/7 Alberta, and CityNews 24/7 BC.
Rather than representing a single local television station, CityNews 24/7 brings together continuous news programming with reporting tailored to different parts of Canada. This regional approach reflects the wider CityNews structure, in which local newsrooms focus on individual cities and surrounding areas while contributing to coverage of broader Canadian and international developments.
