TV Channel Overview
teleSUR English is the English-language television channel of teleSUR, an international news network headquartered in Caracas, Venezuela. It is intended for English-speaking audiences and carries news and current-affairs programming with a strong focus on Latin America, the Caribbean, and the wider Global South.
Political developments, elections, diplomacy, social movements, economic issues, and international relations form central parts of its coverage. The channel also presents interviews, analysis, documentaries, cultural reporting, technology, and sports, giving its schedule a broader scope than breaking news alone. Latin American perspectives remain a defining element even when the subject is outside the region.
As part of teleSUR’s multilingual media operation, teleSUR English extends the network’s reporting to an international English-speaking audience. Its programming reflects teleSUR’s emphasis on regional integration, social and political developments, and viewpoints from countries and communities in the Global South, while also following significant events elsewhere in the world on a regular basis.
