Overview
Radio Television Afghanistan (RTA / Dari: رادیو تلویزیون ملی افغانستان / Pashto: د افغانستان ملي راډيو تلويزون) is the national public broadcasting organization
of Afghanistan, headquartered in Kabul and operated under the country's
state broadcasting system. The organization manages multiple television
services, including RTA TV, RTA News, RTA Sport, RTA Education, and RTA
World, alongside national radio broadcasting activities.
RTA broadcasts a range of programming covering news, current affairs, public
discussion programs, cultural features, documentaries, educational content,
and sports-related programming. Its services are presented primarily in
Dari and Pashto, with selected content also provided in English. As Afghanistan's
long-established public broadcaster, RTA has historically served as one
of the country's main nationwide broadcasting organizations through television
and radio distribution.
