TV Channel Overview
TVK, officially known as the National Television of Cambodia (ទូរទស្សន៍ជាតិកម្ពុជា), is Cambodia's national public television broadcaster headquartered in Phnom Penh. The abbreviation "TVK" is also associated with the broadcaster's earlier English name, National Television of Kampuchea. Operated under the country's state broadcasting system, the organization forms part of Cambodia's long-established national media infrastructure and is associated with the National Radio of Cambodia.
The broadcaster operates two television channels. Its flagship channel, also named TVK, serves as the main national television service, presenting news, public affairs, cultural programs, educational content, sports coverage, and broadcasts connected to national events and government activities in Cambodia. TVK2, launched in 2020, was introduced primarily as an educational television service supporting distance learning and school-related programming, while also carrying selected cultural and public-interest content.
The broadcaster presents a broad range of programming focused on national
news, public affairs, government-related events, culture, education, sports,
and social topics connected to Cambodia. Its official platform also publishes
written news reports and information related to domestic developments,
ministries, public institutions, and cultural activities taking place across
the country. Programming is presented mainly in Khmer and reflects the
role of the organization as a nationwide public broadcaster serving general
audiences in Cambodia.
