Overview
RTHK (Radio Television Hong Kong / 香港電台) is Hong Kong's public broadcasting organization and operates under the Hong Kong Government. Headquartered in Kowloon Tong, Kowloon City District, the broadcaster manages television, radio, and digital media services covering news, current affairs, education, culture, public information, music, and community programs in Cantonese, English, and Mandarin.
Its television services include channels such as RTHK TV 31, which carries
general-interest and public affairs programming, and RTHK TV 32, which
is known primarily for coverage of government-related events, press conferences,
and public information broadcasts. Other channels, including TV 33, TV
34, and TV 35, have been used for relay broadcasting, educational services,
and specialized content connected to public broadcasting activities in
Hong Kong. RTHK also produces documentary features, interview programs,
cultural series, educational content, and news reports addressing local
and regional topics. The organization remains one of Hong Kong's principal
public-service media institutions.
