Phoenix Television (凤凰卫视 / 鳳凰衛視) is a Hong Kong-based satellite television
network headquartered in Tai Po District, New Territories. Established
in 1996, the organization operates a group of Chinese-language television
channels serving audiences in Hong Kong, mainland China, and other international
Chinese-speaking communities. The network is known primarily for news,
current affairs, interviews, documentary features, cultural programming,
and discussion-oriented content presented in Mandarin and Cantonese.
Its channel lineup includes Phoenix Chinese Channel (中文台), which provides general-interest programming, and Phoenix InfoNews Channel
(资讯台 / 資訊台), a service focused mainly on rolling news coverage, public affairs,
and commentary programs. Phoenix Hong Kong Channel (香港台) carries programming related to Hong Kong society, local affairs, culture,
and community topics. The network has also operated documentary, historical,
and feature-based programming across selected services and special productions.
