Originally launched under the name “M Money,” the channel was rebranded
to Maeil Business TV and now delivers content ranging from stock and real-estate
trends to management strategies and global business issues.
It operates under the umbrella of the Maeil Business Newspaper (매일경제신문),
a leading daily economic newspaper in South Korea. At the same time, it
forms part of the broader Maekyung Media Group, which also includes the
cable network MBN, meaning MBN and Maeil Business TV share a common parent
media group and belong to the same corporate family. This structure allows
Maeil Business TV to draw upon the newspaper’s business-reporting tradition
and the broadcasting network’s production capabilities.
