Overview
TV Chosun (TV조선), officially Chosun Broadcasting Company (주식회사조선방송), is
a nationwide television network offering news, dramas, variety shows, documentaries,
music programs, and more.
Headquartered in Jung District, Seoul, the broadcaster is majority owned
by a consortium led by the Chosun Ilbo, South Korea’s largest newspaper
company. It is licensed as a general programming cable channel (so-called
“comprehensive programming channel”), which allows it to broadcast a full
mix of news and entertainment programming nationwide.
TV Chosun operates three channels: TV Chosun (news, current affairs, and lifestyle programming), TV Chosun 2 (entertainment, culture, and educational programs), and TV Chosun 3 (trot music, wellness, and lifestyle content).
