TV Channel Overview
Televizioni Safina (Телевизиони Сафина / ТВ Сафина / ТВС) is a state television
channel based in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. Established by a government resolution
in 2005, it began broadcasting that year and operates as a state institution
within Tajikistan’s national broadcasting system.
Safina follows a broad general-interest format. News and analytical programs are accompanied by cultural and entertainment content, youth and sports programming, documentaries, television films, and programs dealing with social and educational themes. Culture has a particularly visible place in the channel’s activities, with coverage of national arts, literature, music, traditions, historical subjects, and cultural events. The broadcaster also maintains branches and representative offices in several regions of the country, supporting coverage beyond the capital.
Programming is produced in both Tajik and Russian.
