TV Channel Overview
Vietnam Television (VTV / Đài Truyền hình Việt Nam) is the national public television broadcaster of Vietnam, headquartered in Hanoi. The organization operates multiple nationwide and regional television channels covering news, education, culture, entertainment, sports, science, and programming for ethnic minority communities across the country.
VTV1 serves primarily as the network's news and public affairs channel,
while VTV2 focuses on educational, scientific, and technology-related content.
VTV3 is widely recognized for entertainment and sports programming, and
VTV7 specializes in educational television. The broadcaster also operates
regional services such as VTV8 and VTV9, which provide programming connected
to central and southern Vietnam respectively. In addition, VTV5 and its
regional services present programming intended for ethnic minority communities
in different parts of the country. VTV also maintains international and
multilingual television services including VTV4, which presents selected
Vietnamese programming for overseas audiences.
