Overview
Inner Mongolia Radio and Television (NMTV / 内蒙古广播电视台) is the regional public
broadcaster serving the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of China. It offers
news, cultural features, entertainment shows, children’s programming, and
language-specific content in both Chinese and Mongolian, acting as a key
source of information and media for communities across the region.
It operates eight major television channels: Nei Mongol Satellite TV (内蒙古卫视), Nei Mongol Mongolian-language Satellite TV (内蒙古蒙古语卫视), Comprehensive News Channel (新闻综合频道), Economy & Lifestyle Channel (经济生活频道), Children’s Channel (少儿频道), Culture, Sports & Entertainment Channel (文体娱乐频道), Animal Husbandry Channel (农牧频道), and the Mongolian-language Culture Channel (蒙古语文化频道).
NMTV also runs a network of local channels that cover the region’s major prefectures and municipalities — including Hohhot (呼和浩特), Baotou (包头), Wuhai (乌海), Chifeng (赤峰), Hulunbuir (呼伦贝尔), Hinggan League (兴安盟), Tongliao (通辽), Xilin Gol (锡林郭勒), Ulanqab (乌兰察布), Ordos (鄂尔多斯), Bayannur (巴彦淖尔), and Alxa (阿拉善) — ensuring extensive regional reach.
