Overview
Kəpəz TV (often rendered in English as Kapaz TV / Kepez TV) is a regional
television station based in the city of Ganja (Azerbaijani: Gəncə), located
in the northwestern part of Azerbaijan. The channel was originally launched
on 6 May 1994 as the country’s first privately owned regional broadcaster.
It is operated by the Kapaz Independent Teleradio Company (Azerbaijani:
Kəpəz Müstəqil Teleradio Şirkəti), headquartered in the Nizami district
of Ganja.
The station serves not only Ganja but also the surrounding economic regions
of Ganja-Dashkasan and Gazakh-Tovuz, providing a range of programming tailored
to local viewers. Its daily schedule features multiple news bulletins,
current affairs shows, sports news segments, documentary and historical
films, television dramas and feature movies, as well as children’s programs
and educational content. In particular, the channel places emphasis on
covering local community affairs, youth-oriented initiatives, and cultural
heritage.
Throughout its long-standing presence in the media landscape, Kəpəz TV has earned recognition as a key voice in regional broadcasting, while remaining focused on the needs and interests of northwestern Azerbaijan’s viewers.
The channel also maintains an active online presence via its web portal
