TV Channel Overview
TV7 is a regional television channel based in Bordeaux, Gironde, Nouvelle-Aquitaine,
France. Launched in 2001, it covers local and regional developments across
Nouvelle-Aquitaine, with Bordeaux and Gironde forming an important part
of its editorial focus.
Its programming combines news and current affairs with reports and discussions on politics, the economy, sport, health, culture, music, heritage, wine, gastronomy, and the natural environment. Regular news bulletins, interviews, debates, and magazine-style programs are complemented by longer-form audiovisual productions, including documentaries and short fiction projects.
TV7 forms part of the audiovisual activities of Groupe Sud Ouest, which
also operates the local channel TVPI. While TV7 has a broader regional
focus on Nouvelle-Aquitaine, TVPI concentrates on the Pays Basque and Landes
areas. Since 2017, TV7’s newsroom and studio have been located within Groupe
Sud Ouest’s Bordeaux editorial premises, linking the channel closely with
the group’s regional news operations.
