TV Channel Overview
Antena 3 CNN is a Romanian-language national private news channel based in Bucharest. Founded in 2005 as Antena 3, it adopted the Antena 3 CNN name in 2022 when its partnership with CNN was expanded and the channel became CNN’s Exclusive News Partner in Romania. The television service is operated by Antena 3 S.A., part of Intact Media Group.
News and current affairs form the core of the schedule. Coverage follows Romanian politics, government and public affairs, economic developments, social issues, international events, and other topics affecting the country. Interviews, studio discussions, debates, field reports, and news bulletins are used throughout the channel’s journalism and analysis.
The CNN partnership gives Antena 3 CNN access to CNN reporting and content for use in its output, while CNN can also draw on reporting from its Romanian partner. Within Romania’s television sector, Antena 3 CNN operates as a nationwide commercial news service with a strong emphasis on domestic political and public-affairs coverage alongside international news.
