TV Channel Overview
JOJ 24 is a Slovak-language news television channel based in Bratislava, Bratislava Region. It began broadcasting in 2022 as a dedicated news service for audiences across Slovakia, extending the news and current-affairs output associated with TV JOJ.
The schedule is built around regular news bulletins, live reporting, interviews, studio discussions, and analysis. Political and public-affairs coverage forms a substantial part of the service, alongside reporting on the economy, international developments, regional affairs, crime, sports, and other current topics. Press conferences and major public or political events are also carried when they are central to the day’s news.
JOJ 24 gives additional space to regional reporting from across Slovakia and to longer-form factual material that goes beyond immediate headlines. A separate regional-news strand summarizes developments from different parts of the country. Discussions with politicians, analysts, specialists, and other guests provide context on domestic and international issues, while documentary and magazine-style segments broaden the channel’s coverage of social, economic, cultural, and regional subjects.
