TV Channel Overview
News18 Gujarati is a Gujarati-language regional television news channel
serving Gujarat and operating within Network18’s News18 network. Its principal
editorial area is the state itself, with reports from cities and districts
across Gujarat as well as coverage of Indian and international developments
for Gujarati-speaking audiences.
Daily output follows state politics, elections, public administration, weather, agriculture, crime, civic matters, business and sport. Local reporting frequently addresses developments in Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot and other communities, allowing statewide stories and city-level issues to appear within the same service. Weather alerts and conditions affecting farmers are also recurring areas.
The service originally operated as ETV News Gujarati. It adopted the News18 Gujarati name in 2018 when Network18 completed the consolidation of its general news channels under the News18 brand. Today, it forms part of Network18’s portfolio of regional channels, which provides news in multiple Indian languages and combines state-focused television reporting with Gujarati digital coverage.
