TV Channel Overview
Saam TV (साम टीव्ही) is a Marathi-language television channel with its head office in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Launched in 2008 as Sakal Media Group’s first venture into television broadcasting, it serves audiences across Maharashtra with a mix of news, current affairs, and general-interest programming.
Regional reporting focuses on Maharashtra, including developments in Mumbai, Pune, and other parts of the state. Politics, public affairs, business, crime, sport, and other current topics appear alongside national and international news, giving the channel a wider agenda beyond state affairs. Coverage therefore combines metropolitan stories with developments from elsewhere in Maharashtra.
Saam TV’s schedule also includes family dramas, cookery programs, movies, entertainment, and lifestyle-oriented content. This combination gives the channel a broader format than a news-only service while retaining a strong regional focus on Maharashtra. Its place within Sakal Media Group connects the television service with a wider Marathi-language media organization active in print and digital publishing.
