TV Channel Overview
Tamil Janam TV (தமிழ் ஜனம்) is a Tamil-language news and current affairs television channel based in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. The channel was inaugurated in Chennai in 2024 and reports on developments within Tamil Nadu as well as events elsewhere in India and abroad.
State and district reporting gives substantial attention to politics, public affairs, civic matters, weather-related events, and issues affecting communities across different parts of Tamil Nadu. National and international news broadens that focus, while business, sport, cinema, science, health, culture, education, technology, and travel appear across the channel’s wider news output.
Tamil Janam also carries discussion and feature-oriented coverage alongside regular news reporting. Its subject range includes cultural and spiritual topics as well as contemporary political and social issues. The current news structure separates Tamil Nadu and district reporting from national and world coverage, combining a strong regional focus with a broader general-news agenda for Tamil-speaking audiences.
