TV Channel Overview
Iraqi Media Network (IMN / شبكة الاعلام العراقي) is a public media organization headquartered in Baghdad, Iraq. Established
after 2003, it operates as Iraq's national public media network, with television,
radio, news, and related media activities. IMN was established as part
of Iraq's post-2003 public media structure, and its television channels
cover national news, public affairs, culture, sports, and programming in
several languages used within the country.
Its television services are organized mainly under the Al-Iraqiya brand.
Al-Iraqiya General Channel (قناة العراقية العامة) carries general programming, including news, cultural content, public
affairs, and other national television programs. Al-Iraqiya News Channel
(قناة العراقية الإخبارية) focuses on domestic and international news coverage, current affairs,
and political discussion programs. Al-Iraqiya Sports Channel (قناة العراقية الرياضية) covers sports events, competitions, and related programs.
IMN also operates language-specific channels within its television group.
Al-Iraqiya Kurdish Channel (قناة العراقية الكردية) provides Kurdish-language
programming, including content relevant to the Kurdistan Region and Kurdish-speaking
audiences in Iraq. Al-Iraqiya Syriac Channel (قناة العراقية السريانية) provides Syriac-language programming for Iraq's Syriac-speaking community,
while Al-Iraqiya Turkmen Channel (قناة العراقية التركمانية) provides programming in the Turkmen language.
