TV Channel Overview
Kurdsat News (کوردسات نیوز) is a Kurdish-language news channel based in Sulaymaniyah, in the Kurdistan
Region of Iraq. It operates as a news-focused service within the broader
Kurdsat media structure, with particular attention to the Kurdistan Region
while also following developments across Iraq, the Middle East, and the
wider world.
News and current affairs form the center of its coverage, including politics and public affairs, regional developments, economic issues, health, culture, and sports. Reports are accompanied by analysis, opinion, discussion programs, and other journalistic content. The channel gives substantial attention to events and public issues affecting communities across the Kurdistan Region.
Within the wider Kurdsat media structure, Kurdsat News serves as the news-focused channel, while Kurdsat TV carries a broader range of cultural, educational, documentary, and entertainment programming. This separation gives the two channels distinct roles while maintaining a common base in Sulaymaniyah.
