Alrai TV (تلفزيون الراي) is an Arabic-language private television channel based in Al Ardhiya,
Al Farwaniyah, Kuwait. Operated within Alrai Media Group, it serves audiences
in Kuwait and the wider Gulf region with a general schedule that brings
together news, discussion, and entertainment.
Political, social, and economic talk programs form part of the channel’s current output, alongside entertainment and other general-interest programming. News and public-affairs coverage addresses developments in Kuwait as well as regional and international topics, while drama, lifestyle, sports-related programs, and seasonal productions broaden the schedule beyond journalism. Alrai TV began broadcasting in 2004 and became Kuwait’s first licensed private television station. It forms part of Alrai Media Group, which also operates the Arabic-language Alrai newspaper and other media activities. The group later moved from Shuwaikh to its current headquarters in Al Ardhiya, bringing its television and publishing operations into the same media complex.
