TV Channel Overview
Musawa Channel (قناة مساواة الفضائية) is an Arabic-language Palestinian television channel that forms part
of the Palestinian Broadcasting Corporation (PBC; الهيئة العامة للإذاعة والتلفزيون الفلسطينية), a public broadcasting organization headquartered in Ramallah, Palestine.
A central part of Musawa's editorial focus is the social, cultural, economic,
and political life of Palestinian communities referred to in Palestinian
media as "Palestinians of the interior" (فلسطينيو الداخل), while
its programming also addresses broader Palestinian and Arab topics.
The schedule combines news and current affairs with interviews, discussion programs, social and cultural features, religious content, arts, youth-oriented programs, drama, and entertainment. Its news and discussion output regularly examines community affairs, local politics, education, culture, public safety, and everyday social concerns. This gives Musawa a distinct role within PBC's television services, with greater emphasis on the experiences and perspectives of these Palestinian communities than on general national programming.
Musawa began trial broadcasting in 2015. It was developed as part of an expansion of PBC's television services, and the broadcaster continues to list Musawa among its current channels alongside Palestine TV and Palestine Mubasher. This institutional link places Musawa within the wider Palestinian public broadcasting system.
