TV Channel Overview
Fujairah TV (تلفزيون الفجيرة) is an Arabic-language general-interest television channel based in Fujairah
City, Emirate of Fujairah, United Arab Emirates. It operates under the
Fujairah Culture and Media Authority and serves audiences in the emirate
and elsewhere in the UAE. Its editorial scope connects coverage of Fujairah
with national and international subjects.
News and public-affairs programming follows developments in Fujairah, across the UAE, and abroad, while studio and magazine-style programs address social issues, family life, health, technology, arts, and community events. Cultural and heritage content gives particular attention to Emirati customs, traditions, and local identity. The schedule also includes documentaries, sports coverage, drama, films, and entertainment.
The channel grew out of an emirate-level media project launched by Emiri decree in 2005, which also encompassed radio, publishing, and other media activities. Fujairah TV was inaugurated in 2006 alongside Fujairah FM and Zayed Radio for the Holy Quran. In 2023, the channel introduced a new visual identity and programming strategy centered on public-service content, daily coverage of developments in the UAE and Fujairah, and renewed cultural, heritage, entertainment, and sports programming.
