TV Channel Overview
Sky News Arabia (سكاي نيوز عربية) is a 24-hour Arabic-language television news channel based in Abu Dhabi,
Emirate of Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, serving audiences across the
Arab world. Its coverage centers on regional and international developments,
with regular attention to politics, economics, business, and public affairs.
News bulletins and studio programs follow breaking stories and major developments across the Middle East, North Africa, and beyond. Alongside political and economic reporting, the schedule also includes coverage of sports, lifestyle, arts, culture, and technology, giving the channel a broader news agenda than politics alone. Interviews, discussion formats, and analysis programs provide additional context around current events.
Sky News Arabia began broadcasting in 2012 as a joint venture between IMI, an Abu Dhabi-headquartered privately owned media group, and Sky News UK. The channel is supported by news bureaus across the Middle East and North Africa, Europe, and the United States, extending its reporting network beyond its Abu Dhabi base.
