TV Channel Overview
Spacetoon (سبيستون) is an Arabic-language children’s television channel based in Dubai Media
City, Dubai, Emirate of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The channel serves
children and families across the Middle East and North Africa, with a schedule
centered on animation, anime, and other family-oriented programming.
Arabic-dubbed animated series form a large part of its television output, alongside films and programs with educational or family themes. A distinctive feature of Spacetoon’s presentation is its use of themed “planets” that group content by genre and audience interest. Original productions and dubbing developed for Arab audiences also bring regional cultural references into the channel’s broader mix of international animation and children’s entertainment.
Spacetoon began in 2000, when a seven-hour Spacetoon programming block was carried by Bahrain TV during its early launch phase before the service developed into an independent channel. It now serves as the flagship television channel of Spacetoon Group, a Dubai-based media and entertainment organization whose activities include content production, dubbing, licensing, education, and family entertainment.
