in Western Australia's Pilbara region. Launched in 2025, the service features
news, culture, documentaries, community stories, and entertainment, with
particular attention to the Pilbara and Aboriginal communities in Western
Australia.
Ngaarda Media works within Australia's First Nations community media sector. In Australia, "First Nations" is a broad term referring to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. In the case of Ngaarda TV, its community focus is particularly connected with Aboriginal peoples of the Pilbara. Ngaarda Media was established in 2004 as Juluwarlu Media to document Yindjibarndi language, culture, and traditional law.
