TV Channel Overview
WCTV14 is the community television service operated by Wethersfield Community
Television, Inc., a nonprofit public, educational and government (PEG)
access organization in Wethersfield, Connecticut, United States. Established
in 1984, WCTV has served the town through several locations and has operated
from the Pitkin Community Center since 2004.
Resident participation is central to the station’s work. Wethersfield community members can develop noncommercial programs on local interests, public issues, education, culture, sports, and other subjects relevant to the town. Volunteers take part in producing programs and working with studio and field equipment.
WCTV also provides residents with access to production facilities, cameras, editing resources, and practical instruction in television production. These resources are intended to help community members learn how to create their own programs and contribute local perspectives. As a PEGA access service, WCTV combines community expression with educational and civic-oriented programming for Wethersfield residents.
