Overview
New Tang Dynasty Television (NTD / 新唐人電視台) is a multilingual television
broadcaster headquartered in New York City, New York. It was founded in
2001 by practitioners of the Falun Gong new religious movement. Its content
includes breaking news, political news, showbiz news, cultural programs,
travel documentaries, health- and lifestyle-themed programs, music shows,
children's programs, and more.
Originally, the station was founded as a Chinese-language broadcaster,
but has since expanded to include English, French, Russian, Japanese, Korean
and Vietnamese.
NTD Chinese operates nine regional channels: Eastern U.S. Channel (美東台
/ 美东台), Western U.S. Channel (美西台), Europe Channel (歐洲台 / 欧洲台), Eastern
Canada Channel (加東台 / 加东台), Western Canada Channel (加西台), San Francisco
Channel (舊金山台 / 旧金山台), Houston Channel (休斯頓台 / 休斯顿台), Asia Pacific Channel
(亞太台 / 亚太台 - from Taiwan), and Mainland China Channel (中國台 / 中国台).
