TV Channel Overview
WBBH-TV is an English-language television station based in Fort Myers, Florida, United States, serving Southwest Florida as the region's NBC affiliate. Branded on air as Gulf Coast NBC, the station combines NBC network programming with locally produced news, weather, sports, traffic information, and reporting on civic and community issues. Its regional coverage focuses on Fort Myers, Naples, Cape Coral, and other communities along Florida's southwest Gulf Coast.
Weather reporting is a prominent part of the station's local service, with regular attention to hurricanes, tropical systems, severe weather, and preparedness information affecting residents across Southwest Florida. WBBH also covers regional sports, public affairs, local government, and community events.
The station began broadcasting in 1968 and adopted the Gulf Coast NBC brand in 2025. WBBH's local news is presented under the Gulf Coast News name, a shared news brand and website used with WZVN-TV, the separately licensed ABC affiliate for the same Southwest Florida market. WZVN is a distinct television station rather than a subchannel of WBBH. Within the Fort Myers-Naples television market, WBBH continues to serve as the local NBC affiliate while maintaining a regional focus on Southwest Florida news and information.
