TV Channel Overview
Manhattan Neighborhood Network (MNN) is a nonprofit public media organization
serving Manhattan, New York City. Founded in 1992 to provide public access
television, MNN supports community media production through studios, editing
facilities, training, and distribution opportunities for local creators,
organizations, and independent producers.
Its television services include five designated public-access channels: MNN Community, MNN Lifestyle, MNN Spirit, MNN Culture, and MNN HD. Their programming spans local politics and community issues, lifestyle and entertainment, religious and philosophical content, multilingual arts and news programming, and high-definition presentations of MNN shows. MNN also distributes NYXT, which focuses on Manhattan organizations and community life, and MNN-FSTV in partnership with Free Speech TV.
Beyond channel distribution, MNN operates production facilities in Manhattan and provides members with access to studios and editing resources. Its work combines public-access television, media training, production support, and community storytelling, giving New Yorkers and independent producers ways to create and share locally focused media.
