TV Channel Overview
At Syracuse University, Orange Television Network (OTN) functions as a
student-run television network and production lab based in Syracuse, New
York. Students from across the university can take part in developing,
producing, editing, and promoting programs, making OTN both a campus media
outlet and a practical setting for television production.
Its programming spans comedy, drama, sports, documentaries, talk formats, short-form video, reality-based productions, and experimental creative work. OTN carries original student productions as well as selected content from university partners, including CitrusTV and NCC News. Syracuse University also identifies OTN as a resource within its television, radio and film program, where students can gain additional production experience outside the classroom.
OTN operates from facilities at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications, including access to studio and control-room spaces used for student productions. The network provides a venue for media created within the Syracuse University community.
