TV Channel Overview
MS NOW is an English-language U.S. cable news network formerly known as MSNBC. In 2025, Comcast grouped MSNBC with several other cable and digital businesses under a new company, VERSANT, for a planned spin-off. As the network separated from NBCUniversal and NBC News, MSNBC adopted the name MS NOW in November 2025, short for “My Source for News, Opinion, and the World.” VERSANT became an independent publicly traded media company in January 2026.
The network focuses on U.S. politics and government, breaking news, current affairs, investigations, international developments, analysis, and opinion journalism. Its programming combines reporting from journalists and correspondents with interviews, political discussion, commentary, and longer-form analysis of events shaping public life in the United States.
As part of the transition away from NBC News, MS NOW built its own newsroom and expanded its independent newsgathering operations. Reporters and editorial teams cover Washington and other parts of the United States, while international reporting is supported through arrangements with overseas news organizations. Within VERSANT, MS NOW is part of the company’s political news and opinion business.
