TV Channel Overview
Free Speech TV (FSTV) is a national, independent nonprofit media network headquartered in Denver, Colorado. Operated by Public Communicators, Inc., a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization, it is supported primarily by individual donors and foundation grants. FSTV presents news, public affairs, documentaries, interviews, discussion programs, and commentary for audiences across the United States.
Its editorial mission is explicitly progressive, with particular attention to social and economic justice, environmental issues, civil rights, democracy, and civic participation. The network combines its own productions with programs from independent journalists, producers, and media organizations, giving space to perspectives connected with grassroots movements and communities that are central to its stated mission.
Free Speech TV began in 1995 and developed as a nonprofit alternative-media project before expanding into a national television network. From its Denver base, it continues to operate as a public-interest media organization focused on independent journalism, social issues, and civic engagement rather than a general-interest entertainment schedule.
