Overview
GNAT-TV (Greater Northshire Access Television) is a nonprofit community
media organization based in Sunderland, Vermont, United States. It serves
eleven communities in southwestern Vermont: Arlington, Dorset, Londonderry,
Manchester, Peru, Rupert, Sandgate, Stratton, Sunderland, Weston, and Winhall.
The organization operates separate public, education, and government-access channels. Its public channel carries locally produced programs, regional news and information, community announcements, and content submitted by residents and local organizations. Educational programming includes school-related productions, youth media projects, and other learning-focused content. The government channel provides coverage of local and state government meetings and public proceedings, including unedited coverage of municipal meetings from beginning to end.
GNAT-TV also records community events and produces local reports concerning the Northshire and Mountain Towns region. Residents, schools, nonprofit groups, and local governments can use its production facilities, equipment, training, and distribution services. Through these resources, GNAT-TV supports civic information, media education, community participation, and locally created noncommercial programming across its service area.
