Overview
Mad River Valley Television (MRVTV) is a nonprofit community television
station and media center based in Waitsfield, Vermont, United States. It
provides public, educational, and government-access services for Waitsfield,
Warren, Fayston, and Moretown.
MRVTV operates community channels 44 and 244, which carry locally produced public and educational programming. Their schedules include community events, school activities, arts and cultural presentations, local sports, interviews, public forums, and programs submitted by residents and organizations. Town government channels 45 and 245 focus on municipal and school governance, carrying meetings of select boards, school boards, planning bodies, and other public organizations.
The station also records local events and preserves videos relating to government, education, and community life. Residents and local organizations can receive training and use production equipment to create noncommercial programs. MRVTV staff and volunteers also document public meetings and events throughout the Mad River Valley. Through its channels, archives, and production resources, MRVTV supports local information, civic participation, education, and community expression.
