Overview
Nepal Television (NTV / नेपाल टेलिभिजन) is the state-owned public television
broadcaster of Nepal. It has five television channels, NTV, NTV Plus, NTV
News, NTV Kohalpur, and NTV Itahari.
NTV is the flagship TV channel of Nepal Television. It broadcasts a diverse
range of programs, including news, entertainment, sports, and cultural
programs.
NTV Plus, launched in 2003, is a youth-centric channel that delivers a
mix of entertainment, informative, and sports content in several languages
including Nepali, Maithili, Newari, and English.
NTV News, launched in 2014, offers news and current affairs in several
languages: Nepali, Maithili, Newari, and English.
NTV Kohalpur is a regional television channel based in Kohalpur, Banke
District, Lumbini Province (former name: Province No. 5). Launched in 2017,
it broadcasts various programs in Nepali, Tharu, and English languages.
NTV Itahari is a regional television channel based in Itahari, Sunsari
District, Koshi Province (former name: Province No. 1). It broadcasts programs
in Nepali, Maithili, and other local languages.
