Overview
Indigenous Television is a 24-hour cable television channel aimed to provide
indigenous peoples with informative programs and to promote mutual understanding
among diverse ethnic groups.
The channel broadcasts a variety of programs such as news, variety shows,
cultural and educational programs, TV series, movies, music videos, documentaries,
and other informative programs in eight indigenous languages (Tamang, Newar,
Magar, Limbu, Bantawa, Sherpa, Chamling, and Sunuwar). It is owned and
operated by the Indigenous Media Foundation, a not-for-profit organization
based in Kathmandu.
