Overview
The First News Channel (Perviy Informatsionniy / Russian: Первый информационный / Belarusian: Першы інфармацыйны) is Belarus’s 24/7 news-focused television service
operated by the national broadcaster Belteleradiocompany (also known as
Belteleradio).
Launched in September 2024, it is positioned as a dedicated all-news outlet delivering rolling coverage of major events in Belarus and abroad.
Programming centers on live updates, on-the-scene reporting, studio analysis and interpretation, expert commentary, weather, documentaries, and themed reports rather than entertainment shows.
Broadcasting is primarily in Russian, with some Belarusian-language content also included, reflecting the country’s linguistic landscape.
The channel is available via Belarus’s digital terrestrial network, on satellite, and through online streaming on its official portal news.by, which also provides multilingual pages including English and Belarusian.
Overall, it complements Belarus’s wider state TV offering by focusing on continuous, news-first coverage across TV and digital platforms.
