TV Channel Overview

Dim (Дім) is a Ukrainian-language state television channel based in Kyiv and operated by the state enterprise The International Broadcasting Multimedia Platform of Ukraine (IBMPU). It began broadcasting in 2020 under the name Dom, initially serving audiences in the temporarily occupied areas of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions and Crimea.

The channel’s role and programming changed significantly in 2022, when its schedule became fully Ukrainian-language and its focus expanded toward Ukrainians who had moved abroad or become internally displaced. In 2023, the channel adopted the Ukrainian name Dim, and its distribution was later expanded internationally.

Current schedules feature news and informational programming alongside programs on Ukrainian history, culture, travel, regional life, social issues, documentaries, interviews, and music. Films and series also appear in the lineup, but the channel’s broader focus is on information and programming connected with Ukrainian society and identity. Dim also serves Ukrainians living abroad or displaced within the country by helping them maintain a connection with Ukraine.
