TV Channel Overview
ABP Asmita (એબીપી અસ્મિતા) is a 24-hour Gujarati-language regional news
channel operated by ABP Network Private Limited from Ahmedabad, Gujarat,
India. Launched in 2016, it is part of ABP Network’s group of news services
in several Indian languages.
Gujarat is the main focus of the channel’s reporting. State politics and public affairs appear alongside district and city news, with dedicated coverage for Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, Jamnagar and other parts of the state. Weather conditions, agriculture, business, education, sports and entertainment are among the recurring subject areas. National and international developments are also presented for Gujarati-speaking audiences.
The channel’s regional role is reflected in the way it separates statewide reporting from news tied to individual cities and local communities. ABP Asmita operates alongside ABP Network’s national Hindi service and its Bengali and Marathi regional channels, giving the network a dedicated Gujarati-language news outlet for Gujarat and Gujarati-speaking audiences.
